Welcome to RAWR, where reptiles take centre stage and education meets compassion. Founded by passionate Wildlife Carers & Snake Catchers with years of experience in the Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation field, RAWR is a unique conservation group.

OUR VISION: 
At RAWR, we believe knowledge is power. Our mission is twofold:

  1. Educate:
    We empower local residents with the understanding of Reptiles’ & Amphibians’ vital role in our ecosystem. From Slithering Snakes to Sunbathing Lizards -&- Leaping Frogs to Tenacious Turtles - these creatures play a crucial part in maintaining balance.

  2. Rescue:
    We’re here to save Reptiles -&- build relationships. By fostering an understanding and respect for these Wildlife wonders, we encourage Residents to call our Rescue Hotline when they encounter a Reptile or Amphibian in distress for advice or a Rescuer to attend. We’re your bridge between leaving Wildlife to suffer in silence or save their lives to survive and thrive another day.

  • Education:
    Our workshops, talks and community events bridge the gap between Reptiles and Residents. We introduce locals to these fascinating creatures by dispelling myths and fostering appreciation. Why not join us on our Reptiles & Residents Days or join our Rescue Team.

  • Empathy:
    Our rescue hotline’s number is 0416 048 694. When you spot a Reptile in need, don’t hesitate to call. Together, we can ensure their survival and well-being.
    (RAWR operates via trained Volunteers who dedicate their time and own funds to saving Wildlife. If one of RAWR’s Rescuers are not available we have a second Wildlife Rescue Group to call on for assistance.

  • Conservation:
    RAWR actively supports Reptile conservation efforts. From habitat scoping to rescuing & rehabilitating, we’re committed to preserving these silent, magnificent creatures.

    2. Volunteer:
      Whether you’re a seasoned Herpetologist, Reptile Enthusiast, Snake Catcher, new to the world of wildlife, a student or a curious neighbour, there’s a place for you at RAWR. Help with rescues, transporting Wildlife to Vets, assisting at workshops or Social Media presence.

    3. Donate:
      Every dollar counts. Your support fuels our education programs, rescue efforts, conservation initiatives, training of rescuers and buying equipment.
